Inset cabinetry has been the mark of a true craftsman for over 100 years. This is because it requires a precision and attention to detail that only the best in the business can achieve. Often when we have customers bring in pictures of what they love they bring in pictures of inset cabinets without even realizing it.
So what is inset cabinetry?
Inset cabinetry is when the doors and drawers are set flush with the face frame of the cabinet. The pictures below show a standard inset cabinet on the left and a beaded inset cabinet on the right.

Beaded Inset Door
Beaded inset adds an extra groove around the door. This simply gives the door a little extra character. Oftentimes inset cabinetry uses exposed hinges to give it an "Old World" look. This can be seen in the picture on the top of this page.
Some samples of inset cabinetry can be seen on our catalogs page by selecting either Decora Cabinetry or Holiday Kitchens. If you have any questions about inset cabinetry please feel free to contact us at [email protected].
